If the Russia/Ukraine scenario (which I am skeptical of) turns into armed conflict then I imagine we will see the funding of the Islamist groups along Russias southern border commence again. That would prove to be most entertaining as much of Russia's oil pumping is in the south and we all know what little Chechnya was capable of on their own. I think Putin would be an idiot to take this any further as bogged down Russian soldiers and tanks would be prime targets for constant sniper attacks.
