How long was the Yen carry trade? How long was the Gold/Silver carry trade?
What makes everyone think the USD carry trade will finish up so quickly?
I think a lot of "contrarian" speculators are going to get burnt in this move up in Gold and the move down in USD. They will in my opinion remain overbought and oversold respectively for greater periods than some expect. I don't buy Gold related assets because it's the contrarian thing to do, I buy because we are in Gold bull and Paper money bear market.
