All yesterday I couldn't help but wonder how all the whingers would respond if an alien invasion by gender neutral beings from another planet with technology beyond our wildest dreams and diseases beyond our genetic capabilites came to earth and conquered us. Would they be grateful for the advanced technologies? Or would they complain about their gender neutrality, their cultural practices, their alien diseases?

It's a bit like not caring about cruelty to animals. Most of the permanently miserable dont want to be seen to go on record approving of it, so they will call out cultures that eat dogs in order to sound caring. But we all know that if the animals get in the way of progress, or can be wrapped in plastic portions that don't look cute, and taste nice, they don't mind so much about a bit of inhumane treatment.
These are the people who hate it when a woman speaks out of turn or an aboriginal shows disdain for our "generosity".
