It's always good to tell the balanced story :
In round figures the number of vaccinated people in Australia is about 80%
the number of unvaxxed is therefore about 20%
So the ratio of vaxxed to unvaxxed is 4:1
So to get a balanced apples and apples comparison of the sample figures provided , divide the number of vaccinated hospital admissions by 4 given there are 4 times as many vaccinated people.

Unvaccinated in hospital - 29.9%
Vaccinated in hospital - 67.4% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 44% more likely to be hospitalised
Patients in ICU
Unvaccinated - 48.4%
Vaccinated - 50.5% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 74% more likely to be hospitalised
As at 9 Jan
Unvaccinated in hospital - 28.8%
Vaccinated in hospital - 68.9% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 40% more likely to be hospitalised
Patients in ICU
Unvaccinated - 49.1%
Vaccinated - 50.3% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 40% more likely to be hospitalised
As at 16 Jan
Unvaccinated in hospital - 27.6%
Vaccinated in hospital - 70.2% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 36.5% more likely to be hospitalised
Patients in ICU
Unvaccinated - 43.8%
Vaccinated - 53.7% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 40% more likely to be hospitalised

Unvaccinated in hospital - 25.7%
Vaccinated in hospital - 71.8% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 30% more likely to be hospitalised
Patients in ICU
Unvaccinated - 35.7%
Vaccinated - 61.7% Result : on the given sample , unvaxxed were 57% more likely to end up in ICU
