The TGA certainly has some explaining to do but the root cause of the current fiasco sits with Derek and the Board. This pandemic is a once in a century opportunity for companies like ADO to grow their revenue and build a credible business base. Many companies have done this, just review the earnings of US companies in the diagnostics space. Frankly governments have been throwing money at the Covid testing space and China now has a new class: Covid millionaires”. Meantime ADO has reacted slowly and it seems bungled the whole process of getting a product out, amazingly while owning the “secret sauce” that facilitates the Ellume products.Two years into the pandemic, with an instrument platform that was pre approved by the TGA and there the company is still doing clinical studies….
Neither JAH nor Derek have experience in the diagnostics industry. However, two other board members, Geoff Cumming and Chris Parker claim to be experts in Diagnostics..Parker was head of Roche in Europe. Where have these 2 Board members been in this whole fiasco? Both are paid to advise and to provide guidance in their area of speciality. They should have been front and center in assisting Derek in taking advantage of this once in a century opportunity. Likewise, where are the external advisors they announced as being part of the team. Given where we are none of these experts has done the jobs they are paid to do.
‘The 4c will be interesting in regards to European revenue…maybe Chris Parker has used his network and specialized knowledge to kick start European revenue…or maybe not….we should know by Monday
