They are probably burnt out. The nursing workforce has been split in half since the pandemic started.
Half of the older nurse workforce near retirement quit due to risk of exposure to the virus and then there are another group of nurses that now work in the testing/immunization game as opposed to hospital based.
By the time management of Health services work this out and take steps to assist a drowning workforce the rest will all quit.
Sorry for the rant but walking and chewing gum sounds like an uninformed comment.
