Seems you missed the bit about "ground truths" which is what the 'experts' use to interpret results from the seismic signals..
They don't have ground truths from depth in this area to base their interpretations upon until after they drill this hole. They will then be able to readjust their interpretation of the other seismic lines and targets based on the 'ground truth' that becomes known from depth in hole MAD206.
