H...I analyzed that sentence closely, but still couldn't make my mind up. Can't the word "secure" also be applied to the old latches i.e secures the lid from opening. Also, is the strip big enough scan a fingerprint from side to side?
IF access is triggered by a fingerprint, then it will be an unexpected revelation to the market, and will make some HUGE waves. People (on various forums) are already impressed by it even withouth a security element. I can't believe that Dell would have revealed all of the XPS goodies prior to release.
Lets hope that TZ are in a position to sign an exclusivity agreement with a manufacturer (if not Dell) so that this access mechanism becomes standard for all laptops by that manufacturer. Dell, HP, Apple...any of them will do.
