Things are not going in citizens initiative ways and now they are desperate of getting this petition signed, pleading their 50 so of members to campaign hard to get required signatures. Even if they successful then next step is referendum and that's where they fail miserably because Germany clearly have more smart people than idiots given how Germany is today.
Anyway this is not related to VUL but it is for company called Deutsche Erdwärme awarding a council property for geothermal drilling. This mean the Waghäusel Council is in favour for geothermal despite citizens initiative campaign for No vote, align with federal and state policies with experts backing and demanding for more geothermal.The citizens' initiative, initiated by the "interest group (IG) against deep geothermal energy", has started in Waghäusel.In the process, those responsible for the protest against the drilling are trying to collect 1,100 signatures in order to be able to overturn the municipal council decision in a second step by means of a referendum.The initiative is directedagainst the majority decision in the council to make a municipal property available for drilling purposes.
