There is no price adjustment done by the ASX on the SP of a CDI. The price of a CDI is calculated the same way as any other equity on the market.
The mismatch that you see between NYSE and the ASX is similar to how there is a mismatch between the ASX and CHI-X.
This mismatch of prices help create arbitrage opportunities for some investors, who profit on price differences by converting local CDIs to foreign shares or moving them between exchanges.
