    Hi Johnny,

Well you've been a busy boy today, lost count of your posts here at FFX. I wonder what has sparked such a frenzied need to down beat the many positive articles/posts on Mali and FFX. I can guess but will play along and will answer you post above.

Firstly the website that I get some of my information from is one that I have used for many years, way back in the days of BGS ,Kevin Joyce etc long before the coup and it is not a government propaganda news site as you state many times in your post. They are a very good source of local news, everything form the price of bread , criminal investigations , car accidents, etc etc. For you to constantly label them as a government propaganda web site is just plain wrong and frankly quite lazy. Instead why don't you challenge my posts and say that they are wrong and put forward a coherent argument with facts and links to articles that contest/refute my posts.

Regarding the displaced people you said are just a minority in the north, every Malian is entitled to live in peace and harmony and the right to food and shelter and the right to vote for who shall lead their nation in the years ahead. Over 50,000 displace people have returned to their villages since the Malian Army's new offensive against the insurgents. Why did this not occur in the past under the French/European watch? Answer me that one.

Regarding Sanctions, well this is the only weapon ECOWAS and European countries have. Will it be effective in bringing about elections earlier than 5 years that was proposed by the Malians, Yes is the answer to that one, will they grant the Malians a extension Yes is the answer to that one. ECOWAS can not deny the truth of the situation on the ground in Mali. This 'coup' has the full support of the Malian people, they know first hand what the ARMY are about. They have always said that their end goal was a better Mali with a duly elected Government that will be able to govern for all Malians, not one that has been cherry picked by outside forces looking to feather their own nests.

ECOWAS meet tomorrow, here's hoping that a agreement has been reached and that these sanctions can be scrapped so that the Malian Nation can prosper and grow for the good of all of its citizens.

    All imo and DYOR

    Regards
    FINN
