this thread is interesting. the title of the 2 august release was LYNAS EXPANDS KNOWLEDGE OF THE MT WELD ORE BODY WITH 1KM DEEP EXPLORATION DRILLHOLE No mention of increasing ore reserves. They just want to know what is below the current ore body for long range planning. It takes many test holes to prove reserves exist and how big they are. They currently have about 25 years of good reserves.
I will ask this yet again. Can anybody explain how the results from this hole will change the SP in the next 10 years? Unless they find something amazing, ( 20 % REE ore with 50% NdPr?) which is highly unlikely, they will not even consider using it for 15 years. They need the info so they do not do something like put all the tailings on top of good ore that is way down, Or fill in an old pit with tailings that is over this area.
