Fellow CSL holders, I believe you're calculating the price incorrectly. It is a "weighted" average, which I presume means taking into account the number of shares traded and the total value of those shares.
According to Commsec:
2 Feb: 610,988 shares changed hands for a total value of $160,156,072
3 Feb: 1,060,297 shares changed hands for a total value of $272,596,567.
So over this 2 day period, 1,671,285 shares changed hands for a total value of $432,752,639.
Therefore, weighted average over this 2 day period is $258,93 ($432,752,639/1,671,285).
The same calculation is made after 5 days.
The 2% discount is then applied.
This therefore eliminates you sceptics who think the price is being manipulated.
