yes but it may not have been reasonable to assume BRN had to make an announcement about this.

a) not price sensitive, as it doesn't likely result in revenue for the company (its being demonstrated and tested in these new Merc models)

b) its not obvious that BRN HAD to disclose this, even if price sensitive, as it could have been through a 3rd party (i.e. megachips). put it this way - say you own a hypothetical wholesaling business (asx listed) and your retailer sells a bunch of the inventory you gave them to Tesla, and the market found out about that - why would you be responsible for making an announcement about Tesla?

c) its technically not clear that the mercedes news moved the markets absolutely. yes it correllates heavily (and most would agree it did move the market), but to what degree? was 5% of the trading volume on this news? 15%? 75%? 95%? how have you quantified this?

to name a few points, but the DEFAULT here is that this is all questionable by BRN. this is amateur hour by TMH, BUT I don't think being accurate or fair is the end game here, ALL IMO.
