    Your head hurts, because unlike 90% of people on this forum, you understand the difference between the manager and the funds of the manager.

    And yes, you are right, betting on the manager thinking it's a proxy to investing in a basket of global shares is extremely foolish.

    Like you say, investing in an active manager is fraught with danger in a world where the majority of funds are flowing into low cost passive products and active managers are on the nose.

    The other problem with Magellan products, well not problem but rather an observation, is they are concentrated and easy to replicate yourself.

    Now in the past - investing in global stocks could be a pain - if you look at how traditional brokers charge custodian fees etc. But now you have technology breaking down the barriers, and fees with apps like Stake, Superhero etc.

    The headwinds are growing, and Magellan have no legs to stand on if they can't even match the benchmark, yet charge premium fees.

    In summary, relax.

    If you came onto this forum for the first time you would swear it's the global fund discussion board...
