Even the current population is probably unsustainable in terms of consumption of resources, but let's say 6 billion. But even at that level we still see massive deforestation and depletion of fisheries. Australia can probably support more population if our politicians invested in infrastructure beyond the next election cycle but I am talking about the planet as a whole so please don't take my comment out of context.
