i know mr hamish is a smarter and richer guy than me, but for the love of me, i cant understand when he says he has gone DEFENSIVE in the portfolio, but when i look up MFG holdings, the top 8 are basically all FAANG stocks, lol, how is 20% of ones portfolio in FAANG and tech stocks going defensive? wouldnt going defensive mean buying GOLD stocks, REITS and maybe utility and retail (grocers) stocks, healthcare stocks?
