You have no knowledge of Malaysia or sharia laws. Granted that the banks in Malaysia are a lot stricter in the approval of credit cards, it is still relatively easier to get credit cards there and it is now widely used as it is convenient and avoids the carrying of cash. Bankruptcy in Malaysia is not uncommon these days and the stigma of being declared a bankrupt is only a temporary setback. The $1 party is a fantasy. My shares in IOU are useful to offset the losses of my other shares. The chart of this share is southwards.
