Australian power prices now 'among lowest in the world' as renewable energy drives costs down, page-27

I just checked a recent elec bill.

This month was $48 -- 329kwh (higher than my average)
= 14.5c / kwh.
Of note is that this includes a fairly substantial increase to base rates that happened last year.

Half the price compared to Australia - and no my area is not running on a hydro dam or anything... coal.
