Tweeting conspiracies drives up engagement and followers.
If you worked as a fluffer for pump and dump scams then it makes financial sense to tweet conspiracies.
With the attention ASIC is giving to social media it would also make sense to delete ramping tweets if you were offloading your shares to your followers at the time. Especially if you were the most persistent social media promoter of a high profile scam and there was a risk of investigation.
