This is very dated but perhaps it can be modified in terms of current attitudes of countries and special interest groups.

1. car companies that buried the electric car 50 years ago are clamouring to build them now.

2. climate activists travel on Lear jets and using their private yachts to climate summits. “How dare you”

3. mortal enemies (China and Russia) are ganging up on the west and Asia-pacific because they finally can.

4. oh yeah….Germany still doesn’t want to help anyone else in any war.
