Last months chart showed that large shooting star with very high volume which was negative imo but did not mean we were going to see any large sell off. I was thinking more of a consolidation in the 30 - 35 range perhaps.
Feb chart has hardly gotten started yet but we gapped up initially on the daily & this showed as an inside gap on the monthly which has since filled.
Now we have the (at this time) smaller doji which is another negative looking candle & potentially firming up resistance a bit.
There is plenty of time yet to move up or down though & the monthly will look different at the end.
I still see 32 then 30.5 as support on the monthly time frame.
Resistance I think is still 34 then up at 36.5.
It looks as though the market is not expecting any of the big announcements to happen this month but is not ready to force the sp down to test the support atm.
The weekly is the one to watch for direction for the next few weeks imo.
