I don't believe any politician unless they are true independent representatives. Party politicians don't represent the people.
there are a few in Aus PH that I credit with honesty, one is Andrew Wilkie, former national security employee.....
the USSR was certainly imperialist and the Tsarist regimes before conquered nations all around to expand the size of Russia, eg. Chechnya and many similar smaller states. Russia has invaded many nations before today and have always seen Ukraine as a part of greater Russia.
