MGT's PFS was issued last July, (2021).
The economics stack up well although a little disappointing that it was only based on 8% of our resource.
We now await the DFS and decision to mine (Both due late 2022).
Selective mining is possible as we have very little over burden, this is not possible for mines with a resource that is say 200 metres below the surface.
Under the "other" management, the 2013 PFS had planned to make the magnetite concentrate into a slurry and pump it 300 to 400 kms to the port. IMO not a great idea considering the lack of available water.... I have the same concern with HIO as they also plan to pump a slurry from their mine site to Broken Hill for further processing...
