The ATP website states that the scheduled Kobe auction in February has been postponed to 23-24 March due to “more pearls arriving”. The rescheduled auction will entail physical viewing at Kobe plus an online auction. The scale of the auction seems to be much larger than originally planned, which suggests that the company’s estimates of sales for the current quarter may be significantly exceeded.
