    Hi (talktome)

This project is very important for not just Cameroon, but the whole region. It has to be done properly the first time.

There is most probably only one rail corridor for mines to get their product to port.
The World Heritage Society would not be happy if there were rail lines going from SDL's projects,Avima,Badondo,Belinga and African Aura's mines to port.
The same with the port, imagine having all these companies with rail lines coming into the area of the coast line with big rail loops and off loading equipment. Each having a jetty going out to sea. Each having a stock holding area, some having DR and Pellet plants.
They have to re-house the local people as it is for the SDL project which is not too popular with some people.
This coast is a tourism hot spot, not like Port Headland.

Some of the delays will be due to the Cameroon Government wanting to make Cameroon the iron ore Hub for the region.
Imagine the revenue the Government will get for minerals going through Cameroon and its ports. Also supplies for mines coming in through the Cameroon sea ports and going to other countries in the region.

As Rio Tinto have said with Simandou being another Pilbara area, that is one project. Add Mbalam,Mt Nabeba,Letioukbala,Belinga,Badondo,Avima,Boka-Boka,Minkebe,Nkout and Batouala. That is one very big Iron Ore Hub with high grade iron ore. Most with average iron ore grade in the 60%Fe or above.

    Regards
    Westcott.
