As I read it, Westpac decides on the discount to apply. If you offer your shares at a higher discount, you will still be paid out at the lower discount upon which Westpac has decided.
Meaning, everyone gets the same price per share regardless of the discount they offered it up at.
Am I wrong? Very happy to be corrected.
Its going to be very interesting to see what discount is going to be applied. It wasn't so long ago that WBC was trading at around $25. Management appear to have done a very nice job arranging the "pre-discount".
