Refund of franking credits for retirees was probably the dumbest decision Peter Costello ever made. Labor went to last election with a policy to get rid of it but they lost because it made them an easy target for a scare campaign. So it's baked in now. Do corporate bonds give retirees franking credit refunds? Don't think so.
