Siumut: How should South Greenland be developed?Siumut's Vivian Motzfeldt now comes to the fore in the question of how the Naalakkersuisut will develop South Greenland. - Opportunities and visions do not just come by themselves, says the vice-president of Siumut in his justification for asking paragraph 37 questions. Vivian Motzfeldt would like to know how the Naalakkersuisut will develop the profession in South Greenland. She wants to know what kind of development measures the Naalakkersuisut has initiated that may have an impact on the workforce in Kujalleq.
- I would like to know what opportunities the political team has to offer in terms of business and labor market to the many families who live in South Greenland and who have children they have to support, Vivian Motzfeldt explains her question.
Business development has not been terrific in South Greenland. The airport plans in Qaqortoq have given many hopes, but the airport is far from being built. In addition, plans for a large mine in the Kuannersuit have been halted following the adoption of a new uranium ban.
Vivian Motzfeldt would also like to know how the Naalakkersuisut will develop tourism and how far the Naalakkersuisut have come with their plans for pig breeding and poultry farming, which they promised during the election campaign.
