    The funniest thing about this Laurel and Hardy show is the fact they are obviously working backward by 'researching' problems and then trying to shoehorn them onto EDE methane pyrolysis process for the purpose of FUD. They have shown they know absolutely nothing about it with their "it's burning" there's "oxygen involved", it's "dirty" it produces "water, carbon monoxide and/or jelly beans that will destroy a fuel cell that runs on Hythane at 50 paces"???

    Here's the reality;

    "Sources of Hydrogen Impurities[edit]
    The presence of impurities in hydrogen depends on the feedstock and the production process. Hydrogen produced by electrolysis of water may routinely include trace oxygen and water, which must be usually be removed prior to use. Hydrogen produced by (steam) reforming of hydrocarbons is produced as a mixture with a stoichiometric mixture with carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which must be separated, additionally trace impurities from the feedstock such as sulphur compounds may be present in the final hydrogen supply.

    Impurities may also be introduced during storage, distribution, dispensing or as a result of equipment malfunction. Examples of this include distribution of hydrogen through repurposed gas networks which may be contaminated with a range of impurities or malfunctioning of equipment at refuelling stations.[1] Some impurities may be added deliberately, for example odorants to aid detection of gas leaks."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_purity#:~:text=5 See also-,Hydrogen Purity Requirements,chemical nature of the impurity.&text=The international standard ISO 14687,key impurities depending on use.

    Notice how nothing is mentioned about methane pyrolysis. Because it doesn't use water, it is a no oxygen environment, and the separation of the hydrogen is simplified by only having to deal with the natural gas with barely minute trace of other compounds from the feedstock, not major components of the process like the ones mentioned.

    And for the record, that huge Monolith plant? It's about the various configurations needed to achieve the carbon black morphology and it's preparation for sale. The natural gas is not purified and again, methane pyrolysis benefits by the hydrogen being simple to separate to a high purity. Hence why all the Monolith Materials patents deal with carbon black and ramping up the system to produce more carbon black. The high purity hydrogen is a given of the process.
