I didn't think it was as vague as previous announcements. It mentions the company and specifically the chicago plant. But I was also confused by "sales order commenced" and "expecting sales to start in 2010." It would be nice to know what the full production run is worth and the date of the trial in Chicago. Without some more detail maybe it is just sucker bait for the rights issue.

But the more of these joint ventures that are being announced: indonesia, north america and the 10million in asia... maybe the marketing team are finally working hard to get results with a product (green cement) that has some value for customers. I spent some time on site at skardon river back in 2000, there was no question that the plant would be comissioned... the big question was always on the marketing side - what product is going to be targeted and who will buy it. I'm going to be optimistic and say it looks like they've finally settled on a popular product to produce at skardon river. Even if the announcements surrounding these JV's are vague at least there is interest in skardon's kaolin now.

Would also like to know what happened with Descrete after the share allocation was withdrawn??
