A market fallacy If anything. But I get it, it offers an easy answer to a hard problem. Still it is a mistaken market belief based on unsound arguments and add a touch of externalising the issue to traders... hopefully you have arrived at a conclusion that makes you feel better.
Just finished reading this great book recently. Seems fitting to this particular discussion we have had for a year or so now.
