85 Million is a lot of money, and I doubt investors would have simply thrown it away cheaply. They would have done their researched and asked questions.

So as you say, one would have to imagine that these new investors had a much better understanding as to where SDL sit as far as securing strategic partners.

I doubt they would have simply been told "Look at the timeline of the latest presentation" and then when they pressed SDL for further information, been satisfied with the response "Backend of 2010".

I am going to cop the $85 Million dollar tip.
