Labor have always been China leaning under the flag of good relations. It goes all the way back to Whitlam trying to borrow money from China to prop up his indebted govt. the unions and labor MP’s have had their fair share of China trips. If you want to influence Australian politics you go left, that means the greens and Labor. You do that with donations etc. Shanghai Sam and endless others within Labor are more sympathetic to communism than you know. You may like Labor but it’s got a dodgy reputation around corruption and Chinese influence for decades. people keep voting for old notions of who political parties are but they are only as good as the low lives that reside wi to in the rank and file. Time to wake up and smell the fish.
