You do realise Merchants will completely abandon Integrated BNPL as they are pressurised with inflationary costs of Wages, Rent, Heating and stock cutting into their margins.
With the same pressures on household budgets discretionary spending is already falling off a cliff.
With so many players offering pay anywhere or Ghost Cards they will not lose out on BNPL sales but they will realise they no longer have to pay 4-6% merchant fees.
Zip heamorraging money on 7% margin just wait till that is cut to 3.5% and they won't last much longer.
