Good morning dear lady jo jo, Our hours don't co-incide but not so bad when I am up early and find you here. Indeed, delightful. I visited a friend of mine yesterday, who lives in classy Carlton and for this I used cabs. She's been part of my life forever since our mothers were friends all their lives. Yet it's been a long time since we've caught up due to lockdowns etc etc etc. She said she can barely remember what I looked like. Nonsense, of course. This is my writer friend. First time she ever wrote a children's story, she sent to a publisher. It was taken up quickly by a brilliant artist. Since then she has had 25 books published and same artist illustrates. Book production is one a year these days. Her stories all have the same characters. My friend has a quirky sense of humour and is great company.
She took me to her favourite nearby restaurant for lunch, and the weather was perfect for our alfresco meal.
Understanding how to order cabs in Melbourne in the world of Ubers, cab aps, preferred drivers, taxi drivers who provide their personal phone numbers to you within one's locality, etc was far from easy to negotiate. No cab arrived at booked time. So determined was I to visit my friend in time for lunch, I kept booking and asking for cabs on any number I found on my phone. Bingo, but then a message that a second cab had just arrived at my gate. but I was already on my ride....

I took to my friend a basket of cuttings of the Parrot plant which I had been growing for her. She will grow them both in the garden surrounding her block of apartments and on her balcony.
Been preoccupied with legal matters, will, power of attorney, etc all getting an update. I hope your foray into trading providers to be both successful and even more importantly, challenging and fun.
There's some covid in her apartment block, but masks compulsory everywhere except once inside an apartment.
Masks though just part of our regular lives and elbow hugs only.
