You are absolutely right.Such photo misrepresentation has been infuriating me for years.
Journalists need to be taught the following two facts:
1...All visible emmissions from chimney stacks, cooling towers etc are either solid particulate matter such as soot or is steam=water.
2...All combustion gases including CO2 are invisible.
But then we must remember "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story".
