You expect most kids to have huge gaps in their common sense but as you get older you learn, get taught by harsh happenings and actively learn but unfortunately some grow up without learning a single bit of new stuff and remain basically the ageof a child
When I first shifted to QLD I was horrified by the people I met especially farmers whose arms were a mass of skin cancers, and especially the women whose skin could have been used to cover a lounge chair, we did have one family friend whose skin was as white as when she left England 70 years prior -- always covered head to toe
