I was watching ABC news over breakfast this morning and they were commenting on the cafe turnover downturn in the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs. It's down 60% versus pre-covid, I guess that it came from this report:

    https://www.broadsheet.com.au/national/city-file/article/cbd-cafe-trade-down-60-percent

They reckon that it's because of a combination of work from home becoming an acceptable practice and also hesitancy to get out and mingle.

Joyce is either totally delusional when he thinks that business and leisure travel will return to above, and perhaps even more than, pre-covid demand - or he's lying to prop up the share price ahead of an imminent capital raising.

Either way even an idiot should be able to see that Qantas is heading towards insolvency. It was obvious that this would be the path for them but now data like this CBD cafe data just confirms it.
