i have to disagree with your statement that HIO's timeline is much closer to production. Both companies plan to ship first shipments in late 2024. HIO are currently preparing their BFS, MGT are preparing the DFS. That said, MGT are not needing to do a BFS as the financing will be part of the DFS. MGT will also making their decision to mine this year following the DFS.
Considering the amount of funds HIO require and the amount of the fixed structure requied to process 10 mtpa I would not at all be surprised if MGT ship ore first.
