I should add that ICU numbers as a percentage of hospitalisations is a lot lower than last year. Currently running in the teens whereas last year it was in the mid 20s. So as total hospitalisations continue to plummet so should ICU absolute numbers. Together, these data mean that elective and emergency surgery is in a much better place than this time last year and will only get rapidly better.
