Maybe they're the only significant buyer of iron ore because they are the world's biggest manufacturer... Cars, trucks, building materials, heavy machinery plus everything else needs to be produced for the whole world by China.
How much stuff does Australia actually manufacture anymore ?? If Australia was a massive manufacturing country a lot would be sold here.
