@Justis - are you sure they haven't been bought out? I tried to ring someone for help a couple of years ago, now, and finished up with someone in a foreign country, talking very bad English - who then told me that Synergy was based there - but I 'got no satisfaction' from the phone call and have snce resisted calling them up for anything.
Never mind - I am just cheesed off that their tariff for electricity produced with my solar panels is getting less and less and my bills are going up.
The solar system probably paid for itself and thats all. Now I am awaiting newer technology and try to be frugal in my use of power.

i have plenty of other problems - dishwasher looks like it's getting fixed on the weekend by relative (granddaughter's husband who is a plumber and I didn't want to ask him in the first place, but when telling my story on Sunday, he volunteered, so, of course, I happily accepted) I will pay him enough to at least cover his time and petrol.

My Plumbdog adventure is something I should tell: I had had a good experience with them some years ago, so I called them again but this time I paid someone $155 for absolutely nothing - and a dishwasher which no longer works.

He set it going after fixing a washer and left and then the program continued to stop giving 'error code 2' - I tried different constellations etc. for 2 hours, but eventually I found the manual for this ancient dishwasher and 'error code 2' means - outlet hose is too high - which doesn't make sense, as he didn't change a thing, just replaced the seal at the connection to sink. But he'd collected his money and left and they are now hassling me for a review, but I do not wish to put anything bad up - so I ignored their requests up to now.

How did my problem end? It isn't solved; I was reduced to manually ladling the water out - and maybe there is a blockage at the top - my 'son-in-law X2 (twice removed) will find out on the weekend.Yet there is still some water somewhere, as it is beginning to get smelly - arrrrrgh!!

Yet again, I remembered how my mother had to wash dishes - manually in a piece of furniture which contained two large basins and had a zinc-lined tray above, when the lid was lifted - the basins were also set into a wooden and mobile shelf, which pulled out and could be pushed in flat when not in use and the water for which had to be heated on the gas stove first in a large container. She washed dishes daily - I often did them, too. Yet she produced wonderful meals in that small and impractical kitchen. We are very spoiled these days and we use and waste way too much water.

Good luck with your air-conditioning system - they are pretty magic!! I slept like a baby in that cool room from Sunday to Monday . . . .
