AZL General Discussion, page-5567

An uncertain day usually leads to giving way a bit - and that's how I would sum up AZL today.

There was no clear direction from ASX except that it was not going to be green. Shares usually get dragged down and this situation and AZL did exactly that. On a small to medium volume of 27+m shares (yesterday was 41m), we lost 1c to finish at 13c. Our VWAP average was 13.4c, so a finish at 13.5c would have been warranted, but was not to be.

ASX Li stocks did not have a good day, though it was not very bad. Average decline of stocks I track was around 4%. Couple of shares had a good mini run in the last week or so - AGY and AVZ. Comparatively they lost more - around 7 and 10% respectively. We also lost around 7%.

I think we are now in a tricky situation where we are finding difficult to come out. Without a strong direction it may continue to drag and since a number of people are sitting on big profits, it has propensity to slide a bit. So we need some big push. DOW again did not give that to us today, and AZL along with other AZX Li stocks kept dragging. We need a big green day or some announcement. Other thing is if it falls a bit more, it can rebound strongly - because if it looks bargain to most and then people will snap it, and the momentum then continues. Lets hope one of these things happen.

Personally did not do any AZL trades. Had picked up some yesterday, so want to see tonight DOW before getting more. Picked up couple of other shares - AVZ (has been good to me last couple of weeks, 2 trades of 15% each) and another stock in decline EVR, picked up a fair few oppies.

What next - Again we wait for DOW. I am not getting a clear direction as yet. Also not sure if we will in short period. The Ukraine situation is still fluid, the US Inflation/Interest Rate is still hanging its sword. But we have now had 3 red DOW days. Probability is in our favour. Lets hope the law of averages mean a green DOW and a green ASX tomorrow - We need a mini run to go higher to face other threats. If we get a good green, I will not be surprised if we are back to trading in our base and favourite zone of 15-16c. Lets hope so and all the best.
