So, LTR just announced an agreed term sheet deal for 100kTpa of SC6 with Tesla and this has seen the LTR SP rise 10.8% so far today.
Let’s just put things into perspective.100kTpa of SC6 is about 6kTpa LCE……considering LKE’s aspiration of 100kTpa LCE by 2030 and the deals that will be associated with that, we should reasonably see much more upside when LKE signs up a Tier 1 OEM/battery maker.
Looking at this in $ terms:100kTpa of SC6 at BMI’s current price estimate of $2400pT gives LTR a $240M return.
100kTpa of LCE at even $30000pT (Spot Price now approaching $70kpT) gives LKE a $3B return.
Even a deal for 50kTpa will give LKE a $1.5B return. That’s 6.25 times the value of the LTR deal.
What will the SP increase be if LKE were to announce a 50kT deal with a Tier 1 player? I can’t wait to find out!
