The USA military complex is a pressure based force designed to project force over distance not defend.

However projecting power is difficult, and USA or nato will lose if trying a war agaist china or Russia near their borders.

Nato has probably hit its limit of expansion.

My guess is Russia with keep their word that it was just a military exercise on their border to make a point, that point is please listen to us.

Nato has no hope in hell of winning a war in Taiwan or Ukraine and they know this, but they would love the sanctions support o the EU if it happened.

Australia has supported the USA like yes man, a puppy to the usa they may be wise to rethink that stance as the dynamics of the power players change, and Australia would be wise to think for themselves there exports and be a bit more neutral .

Australia if it wants to survive in the future , needs at least a few nuclear weapons. At the moment north Korea it a more powerful country than Australia.

The Nuclear powered Submarines were a start.
