Communism/Socialism has been targeted by the USA since the Russian Revolution
as enemy # 1 and the US-UK support of Stalin 1942-45 was simply a temporary "means
to an end": ie: to defeat Germany. And that was evidenced by the rapid targeting of the
USSR in 1946 as US enemy # 1 followed up the Korean War and later by McCarthyism.

Russia and China have now commenced a concerted push back of the USA which
is causing the global spectre of a Nuke War.: Russia on the Ukraine/Belarus front
& China tradewise and via its militarised South China Sea Islands.

Of course the US was threatening the USSR post WW2 & up to the mid -1950s until
the USSR Nuked-up and developed its ICBMs & its Nuke armed Subs....then the conflict
lapsed into a protracted ideological/economic war called the Cold War.

The Koran War followed by the Vietnam War sent a signal to both China & Russia
that short of a Nuke War, the US was beatable.

The USA thought it was "King of the Heap" during the 1990s without much opposition
except a global terrorist act here and there .Post 9/11 China hit its straps economically &
Russia consolidated from the collapse of the USSR and the rest is near history:
The USA bunged economic sanctions on Russia re its re-annexation of the Crimea
and then the Trump 'in your face" attack on China and hey presto, a divided world again,
only this time around the coalition of China-Russia presents a formidable US enemy
both militarily & conomically.
