So what was the actual issue with the Zeehan Council? Was it just the CEO of Dundas and the Local Mayor ? Or some sort of miscommunication going back earlier?
Looks like John Lamb stayed pretty close to his own backyard in the end.
As others have said, condition of the plant should be ok, although it hasn't been run for very long, its getting a bit "old" so corrosion and maintenance of moving parts might be the issues, I don't forsee any problems getting a mining contractor in, have all the underground workings continued to be dewatered? A lot of water to put somewhere if they stopped the pumps. Assuming no geotechnical surprises in the main declines or ventilation shafts.
