Believing that stocks can move solely based on charts is like believing that the character of a person is determined by the month and day of one's birth. Sure, algos and people obessing over the same patterns can have some impact on the movement, but in the slightly grander scheme of things, it is absolutely meaningless, unless you are a trader and you are doing your trades on a 15 minute chart. Look at all the gaps that Enron left behind.
