disregarding climate - just looking after the bit of rock and water that we all live on - if we stopped buying 90% of the utter crap we buy and never use ---------- that'd help the planet
the sheer and utter waste of resources to sustain what is basically a totally brainless materialistic consumer society like we have in the US, UK, Europe and Oz is ridiculous
it would be a different argument if people actually used the things and foods etc they purchase - but, so much just literally never gets use - and a huge amount of the food purchased daily just ends up in the rubbish - 90% of the rest of it ends up as fat
